Time an directions from NYC:
Go to Staten Island Ferry ( Starting at 7PM the Ferries run every hour.)
You must connect to the Staten Island Railrod (at the ferry)
Railroad runs every hour, but usually waits for the ferry to connect. About a 37 minute ride to stop 18-Richmond Valley Road. You must be in the middle of the train to get off.
Or, get off at stop 19-Nassau. Be at the front of the train. Off the train you have about a ten minute walk. But, from Nassau you will be walking in a highway with no side walks and open fields. Be careful. From Richmond Valley Road you will be walking past a swamp with high weeds and open fields. See the Satelite view.
It is OK if during the day light. At night you should be with someone, since it is somewhat deserted.
Not recommend for a lady by herself. It would be nice if the rink had their own shuttle to and from the train.
Since they run on the hour it would be only 4 or 5 trips for the safety and convenience of the skaters who want to come and leave by train.
