UN Shuts Down the Videotaping for the NGOs!
- (Approved by Mr. Kensaku Hogen, (Japan) (Promoted to his level of his incompetence!)
Under-Secretary General, Department of Public Information)
- July 1999
Hogen's office has approved the killing of the video tapping of the "Annual DPI/NGO Conference" this year 2000, and the past year (1999), and year before (1998)! This breaks the six year (wonderfully farsighted decision of the past Secretary-General, Boutros Boutros-Ghali and the Under-Secretary, Department of Public Information, Mr. Samir Sanbar's tradition of sharing the United Nations information in the hopes that someday we all just might solve some the global problems we all face.WHATEVER HAPPENED TO "OPEN" AND "TRANSPARENT" AT THE UNITED NATIONS? They preach this, but are now NOT currently practicing it!! Hypocrisy!! Another excellent reason for the US Government NOT to pay them money to be "corrupt and inefficient" (George W. Bush quote August 30, 2000)
KENSAKU HOGEN (Head of Department of Public Information - Reporting directly to Secretary-General, Kofi Annan) KILLS IT AGAIN FOR THE THIRD YEAR! All while Kofi calls for a "more open and transparent World and sharing of information among all people." WE NOW HAVE A UN-DPI - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INFORMATION..."JAPANESE STYLE!" ..."I look forward to dictating Peace in the Whitehouse!" or is it "I look forward to dictating information flows at the United Nations!" (see Blockers) The UN has resumed the "Thursday DPI/NGO Briefings" for 1999/2000 and.... Again, NO MORE VIDOTAPES OF THE THURSDAY BRIEFINGS!!!!! "Thank you very much. Thank you very much."...Mr. Kensaku Hogen (DPI) of Japan.!
